The apple pie which turned out to be a pear tart

Writer: soniamelodiassoniamelodias

Yesterday, I decided to bake a cake as I usually do on Sundays.

I wanted to try a recipe I found on Pinterest:

But when I started to make it I realized I didn´t have any apples so I improvised and I used pears.

It turned out amazing! I´ll give you the original recipe, but do try it with pears also because it´s really good.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of aerated pasta or puff pastry

  • 4 eggs

  • 200 gr of sugar

  • 300 g of baking flour

  • 4 apples

  • 50 gr of butter or margarine

  • 100 ml of milk

  • Slices of apple to put on top

Grease a form without a hole with butter and sprinkle, using sugar. Place the aerated pasta or puff pastry at the base.

Remove the peel from the apples, slice them and place on top. Reserve the leftovers.

Stir the eggs with the sugar, add the butter or the melted margarine, followed by the milk.

Add the flour and remaining pieces of the sliced apple.

Put the preparation in the form. Add a few slices of apple on top. To make them softer, try plunging them into a glass of milk a little earlier. Put in the preheated oven at 150º. To find out if the apple pie is ready do the toothpick test.

If you like cinnamon, you can sprinkle the surface of the apple pie after it's ready.
